Congratulations goes out to senior Darian Jenkins. She has been accepted to the college that she has always dreamed of attending - Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. Wichita State University was founded in 1895. Students at Wichita State can choose from numerous undergraduate degrees in six academic colleges, and graduate students can earn degrees in the W. Frank Barton School of Business and in the schools of education and engineering, among other fields.

Wichita State University has a very interesting mascot. It is actually a bundle of wheat. In the early years of the college, many students and players earned money during their off season harvesting wheat, so it seemed quite fitting. Another cool fact is that their College of Education has a building that was actually designed by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

Darian Jenkins, you will fit in well with your fellow college peers. We are so proud of you and know that you will do well in any path you choose.
