Jr Civitans: Please sign up outside Mrs Beach’s room (6206) by the end of the day on Wednesday if you plan to attend the meeting on Thursday, November 29 so we can be sure to have enough snacks for everyone!

Sign ups are available for Coach Barron's drivers ed class. Class will begin on Tuesday, January 8th when we return from Christmas Break. There will be a parent meeting on Wednesday, December 19th upstairs in the football field-house. Can pay online at or go see Coach Barron in room 1223. Students must obtain their TIP (temporary instructional permit) from the DMV before the class begins. If they have any questions stop by Coach Barron's room 1223.

Film Prize Junior is a film competition open to any high school student in the state of Louisiana who make a short film (3-10 minutes in length). Film-makers must write a script, outline, framework, or just any written form of their film, due December 21st, and complete their short film by April 5th. Filmmakers that complete their project in accordance with the rules will have their film screened with hundreds of audience members at Art-break (April 26-28) and compete with other students from across the state to win a $5,000 media grant for their school, as well as $1,000 for the teacher sponsor and $1,000 to the school to spend however they feel necessary.

Teacher sponsors may register their student for the competition at

With all that being said, I'd like to stress again that all we need from students right now is a written form of the film they want to shoot. It doesn’t have to be a properly formatted script, just as long as they have something to read by December 21st.

Congratulations to the Lady Rebel Soccer team for their 2-1 district win over Capt. Shreve last night.

Sophomore McKenzie Foster scored both goals to seal the victory, with one of her goals being assisted by Senior Faith Stansbury. Senior Goal Keeper Caroline Girod made a big save in the last 5 minutes of the match to preserve the win.

Good luck to the JV Girls as they travel to Shreveport this weekend to play in the Gator Cup Tournament. The varsity girls next action will take place next Tuesday in their second district match at Pineville.
