Students and faculty, Please come out and support your Rebel Soccer team as they open district play tonight against Captain Shreve at Rebel stadium.  The varsity plays at 5:30 and the JV at 7:15.   

 

The Rebels won their match last weekend against Benton 3-2.  After going down 0-2 early in the match, the Rebels fought back to win the game with goals from Jackson Ford, Alex Sanchez, and Lanzel Burton.  Eli Fitzgerald and Jackson Ford each had an assist.  

 

Teacher Sponsors, Want a free dinner for you and your students AND the opportunity to finish your Film Prize Junior scripts, or get advice on your project?  On December 11, 6pm-8pm at Twisted Root, Team Film Prize Junior will be buying burgers for everyone and providing mentorship on your scripts. 

 

We will also have laptops for you to tap on, and Film Prize swag to take home. Don’t miss this event and the chance to complete your script. REMEMBER, FILM PRIZE JUNIOR SCRIPT DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 21!

 

Tryouts for the WMHS baseball team will be held December 10-16 IMMEDIATELY after school at the baseball field. In order to tryout you must sign up and complete an information packet with Coach Kidd in room 1211 prior to Monday December 10th.

A-HEC of a Summer Applications are outside of room 3101.  This opportunity is for 9th through 11th graders who have at least a 2.0 GPA.  It will take place over the summer for three weeks at one of our local hospitals. Students will also receive an elective semester credit for this program. You must provide your own transportation. Applications are due to Mrs. Nelson before March 1st.

 

 

MASH applications are also available.  This program is a 12-day summer program held at LA TECH and Bossier Parish Community College and is for 11-12 grade students.  Student must have at least 3.0 GPA and have at least a 21 ACT to apply.  Students will receive college credit for this program.  You must provide your own transportation. Applications must be mailed before March 1st to the address on the bottom of the application sheet. 

WMHS is proud of all who auditioned for the 2019 ACDA National Honor Choirs this year! Congratulations to the following students, who were selected out of nearly 3000+ singers from across the United States:

High School/Collegiate Women’s National Honor Choir: Brooke BeDoit, Lexi Cannon, Paige Freeman, Emma McCandlish, Morgan Oden, Sierra Shoemaker. Congratulations to these fine singers.
