The following members of the Rebel track team qualified Wednesday afternoon at the district meet. They will be competing in the regional competition next week at ASH.


Kirsten Elrod - 1st in the mile and 2nd in the 2 mile.

Elayah Honeycutt, Kayla Mays, Shakayla Glass and Paige McKoin - 2nd in the 4x100 girls relay.

Blaze Lacaze - 2nd in the high jump and 4th in the long jump

Eden Adams came in 1st  Ladies Javelin and Montana Furr 2nd.

Michael Hamburg - 2nd in the 100m dash, 2nd in the 110m hurdles

Rebels took 3rd in the 4x100 with Jeremiah Gill, Isaiah George, Jairus Henry and Michael Hamburg.

Rebels placed 4th in the 4x200 with Zak Knox, Jairus Henry, Jason Cooper and Jeremiah Gill

Langston Powell - 2nd in high jump.

In pole vault, Haden Williams came in 4th.

Mitchell Hapton - 4th in triple jump

Ethan Swanner - 4th place in shot put and 3rd place in discus.

Garrett Kahmann - 1st place in javelin with a throw of 175 feet!


Attention any girl who is interested in trying out for soccer. Tryouts started yesterday, but it's still not too late to tryout if you want to play. See Coach Barron TODAY in room 5203 before 6th period if you want to be a part of the soccer team.


Color Guard Camp is May 2-5 Auditions are May 4 Packets are available in the main office or the band office and are due on Wednesday, May 2.


Any student planning on taking a dual enrollment class next year may still pick up a form in guidance. Applications are due by May 1. Also, the ULM DE online application is not open yet but will be soon. Once the online application is available, you will be notified. Remember to turn in all paper applications and application fees to Mrs. Hunt in room #4209.


All students will receive a verification schedule for the 2018-2019 school year in your First Period class on Thursday, April 26.Remember, this is a list of requests only, not the actual order of your schedule for next year. Once you get that verification schedule, you are to make any changes to your requests simply by striking out previous requests and writing in new requests. If you were absent when the counselors met with your English teacher, a tentative schedule has been made for you and you will receive it on Thursday, April 26. If your requests are correct, simply sign and date the verification Counselors are currently finalizing all records and grades for Seniors and are unable to meet with undergraduates until May 7. Please hold all requests to visit with your counselor about a schedule change until that date unless you have been called to Guidance by your counselor.


Coach Osborne will begin signing students upon Monday for his next Drivers ed class which will start on Monday May 14th after school. The cost will be 295 dollars and must be paid when signing up. Payments need to be made with cash or a money order made out to West Monroe. He will be signing students up before school and until the end of 3rd period.


Seniors, You may pick up an application for the Scoot Scholars Scholarship. Applications are available in guidance, on our school web site and onour school FaceBook page. The due date for submitting the application is April 30 in the guidance office.


Prom pictures are in! Go by room 3209 to pick them up.



If you are interested in applying for the Ben Caldwell Memorial Scholarship, you must do so online. The info for applying can be found on the Ben Caldwell Memorial Scholarship Facebook page, in the guidance office, on our WMHS Facebook page, and on our guidance webpage. The deadline for applying is April 23, which is Monday.
