Any student wanting to be a part of S.T.A.R., a class for future teachers/coaches, needs to fill out the yellow application package by Thursday, April 20th. See Mrs. Hunt in room 4209 if you need a packet. This class is only available for students who will be a junior or senior next school year.


"Students,tomorrow,April 20th at 3:30 pm, is the deadline to turn in your completed Link Crew/A-Team applications to the main office. NO late applications will be accepted!


attention seniors taking a dual enrollment course:

You must request your college transcript to be sent to the university that you plan on attending. Go to ULM or LA Tech's website, and there is a place for transcript request. The course does have to be completed before a grade appears on the transcript.


Attention all students wanting to take dual enrollment classes next year:

Don't forget paperwork is due to Mrs. Hunt no later than Tuesday, May 2nd. If paperwork is not done, you will not be placed in a dual enrollment class next year. Packets are available in guidance and don't forget to sign up online as well if you are taking a class through ULM. See Mrs. Hunt with questions


WMHS Spirit Groups will be selling Chick-Fil-A Chicken Sandwich lunches for $6 and Kona Ice Sno Cones for $4 to be eaten during your lunch shift next Friday, April 28. Please see Mrs. Robinson on Wing 1, Mrs. Kelly on Wing 2, Ms. Wyatt on Wing 3, Ms. Brothers for Wings 4 and 6, and Mrs. Garvin on Wing 5 at the end of the announcements or during your lunch shift on the Boardwalk to purchase tickets. The last day to purchase tickets is FRIDAY so act fast!



Girls soccer tryouts are coming up soon. Any girl wanting to try out for soccer should come by room 5203 and sign up with Coach Barron. Tryouts will be Weds April 26th and Friday 28thstarting at 3:30 at Rebel Stadium.


If you participated in the Junior Ring Ceremony on Tuesday and would like to purchase a commemorative picture, stop by Miss Kiper's room 6204.  We will have a pre-order list for you to sign up, select your picture, pay $5, and you'll receive a 5x7 picture by next week.  Deadline to order will be Tuesday, April 25th.  We'll order on Wednesday the 26th and students can pick them up on the Thursday the 27th.  

We know everyone is anxiously awaiting the yearbook!  We are not sure of the delivery date, but will notify everyone immediately through KREB, the GoRebs website and the Rebel Yearbook Instagram page.  Seniors, if we receive them before graduation, we will bring them to practice and distribute them at the coliseum.


Students, many of you may know that Corbin Gulde was recently diagnosed with a type of cancer called osteosarcoma. There will be a one mile fun run and walk held at the football stadium on May 6th to raise money that will be donated to St. Jude in Corbin's honor. Gates open at 8:30am and the event starts at 10:00am. Be sure to wear extravagant hats and you NO FRETS for Corbin shirts if you have them. The boys track team came home with another victory Wednesday night for the District meet held at Pineville High School. The following athletes earned a spot in the Regional competition to be held next week.

  1. Marquise Woodberry with a 1st place finish in 200m dash, 1st place in 100m dash
  2. Michael Hamburg with 2nd place in 100m dash, 1st in the 110M Hurdles and 2nd in the 300m Hurdles
  3. Kasey Tinnerello with 4th in the 1600m
  4. In the 3200m run Ethan Newberry took 2nd and Christian Girod got 4th
  5. The 4 by 100 relay team took 2nd with Jermaine Cooper, Marquise Woodberry, Jarius Hunry and Michael Hamburg
  6. Spencer Curry placed 2nd in the boys high jump
  7. In the pole vault, Rupert Lange came away with 2nd and Haden Williams finished 4th.
  8. Garrett Knox place 4th in the Long Jump
  9. Mitchell Hampton also place 4th in the triple jump
  10. And for Javelin throw, Mason Nichols took 2nd with Garrett Kahmann coming in 3rd.

For the girls team

  1. In javelin throw, Edan Adams place 1st and Montana Furr came in 2nd
  2. Evelyn Todd place 2nd in the Discus Throw
  3. Kristen Elrod placed 3rd in the 800m run
  4. In the 3200m run, Emily Whiteman came away with 3rd and Emily Hudnell made 4th
  5. Caroline Berger also place 4th in the 100m

We would like to wish these athletes the best of luck at the regional competition next week. Go Rebels!
