Attention future Juniors and Seniors, if you are interested in getting college credit and taking an interesting but short art class, sign up for Fine Arts Survey/Art or Fine Arts Survey/Art Dual Enrollment. It's a "survey class" so you aren't expected to know anything about art.Its the art class for those who can't draw.Learn a little about a lot of interesting things in art.It is a 1/2 credit course. Stop by the Art table at the Electives Fair and pick up information. You can also see Mrs. Ganley in room 1109.

There will be a limited number of extra books ordered and you don't want to miss out on this amazing book! We're asking that you send us any pictures from your summer vacation, the choir's NY trip last May, pics of students in the CNA course, and any pictures of extra-curricular activities. If you are interested, pick up a form in Miss Kiper's room. These MUST be returned by next Tuesday.
Seniors, the Drew Elementary and Calhoun High School scholarships are available for pick up in Guidance.
A Drivers Education class will be taught at Good Hope Middle School in the Library. This class will be taught by Mike Robbins. The dates for this class are:
February 6-10 3:30-6:30
February 13-16 3:30-6:30
February 21 3:30-6:30
Sign up is at Good Hope Middle School and here at West Monroe High School. Sign up at Good Hope will be from 8-3. Parents must have an original birth certificate, original social security card, and a valid drivers license when signing up. Cost for the class is $295 payable by cashiers check, money order, or cash. Deadline to sign up is February 3, 2017.
Student council will be selling candy grams on the boardwalk during both lunches. The candy grams will include a card and candy this year. You will have two card styles to choose from. They are $1.00 and will be delivered to the recipients during 2nd hour on Valentine's Day.
If you are senior and plan on participating in the graduation ceremony on May 11, you need graduation supplies. If you have not ordered your supplies from the Graduate Shop, you have until February 3rd to do so. After that, the price increases to $85.Call or stop by the Graduate Shop as quickly as possible.
Attention all second semester dual enrollment students:
Good News! The Ouachita Parish School Board will once again fund ONE dual enrollment course for all juniors and seniors. To see which class is being funded, please check with one of your dual enrollment teachers; each DE teacher has a list. After determining which class is funded, make appropriate payments to Mrs. Hunt for classes through ULM and Mr. Aswell for classes through LA Tech. Only checks and money orders will be taken for payment- NO CASH! Also, be sure to write your full name on your payment.Tuition paymentsare due no later thanFriday, February 3rd.
If any students are interested in buying a basketball shirt, Mrs. Brothers will be selling them in her room for $12. Some big home district games are coming up and it would be great to see the kids wear them to the games! We need a big student section in the next couple of weeks at the games!
