Get your yearbook pre-ordered online through GoRebs or $65 cash to Miss Kiper in room 6204. The price will increase soon! Pick up your senior baby ad forms outside room 6204, Deadline is Nov. 1st .If you have HOCO proposal pictures you'd like in the yearbook, send them to kiper@opsb.net with the students' names and a good caption. We also need summer pictures, senior week, and link crew/freshman orientation.

 

 Art club the next meeting will be on Tuesday October 17. More details to come. If you have paid your dues and not picked up your tee shirt please see Mrs. Ganley in room 1109.Also, if you are interested in receiving Remind texts or Remind email about art club activities, you must return the permission slip signed by your parents or guardian. If you have not returned this sheet by Friday, you will be dropped from the Remind list.This is very important. We cannot send you messages without parent approval. See Mrs. Ganley for a sheet if you have lost yours.

 

Students if you are interested in a healthcare career, A-HEC has some opportunities for you. There will be four one day field trips to local colleges that will allow you to get a closer look at medical degrees that they offer. Colleges that are included are LSU Health Shreveport, LA Tech, Northwestern, and ULM. If you are interested, grab a application form outside of room 3101, complete the form, and mail it to the address listed before November 3rd.

 

Drivers Education class signing up now. Must register at Good Hope Middle School. Must have original birth certificate, original social security card, and guardianship/custody papers at the time of sign up. Cost of the class is $295.Any questions please emailwrobbins@opsb.net

Applications are open for the ACT Student Champion Award! The ACT Student Champion Award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place. ACT Student Champions receive a $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, plaque, and state-level recognition.Applications can be found at www.act.org/readinesschampions. More information can be found in the guidance office.

The Louisiana AFL-CIO will be awarding three $1,000 scholarships at their 63rd Annual Convention in March 2018. To be eligible to enter this essay contest, all contestants must be high school seniors residing in the State of Louisiana whose parent/step parent is a member of an affiliated local union in good standing with the Louisiana AFL-CIO. If you are a senior and you are interested in more information, stop by the guidance office and pick up a packet. All application materials must be post marked by January 5, 2018.
