Thank you all who participated in yesterday's WMHS Teacher Alumni yearbook competition. Ms. Wyatt's students, Madeline White, Lexie Kahmann, and Savannah Hennen were the first to bring the correct list of teachers and won a $10 Chickfila gift card.

Today is the last day to pre-order a homecoming tshirt. Bring $15 cash to Miss Kiper's room 6204 by 3pm. (show pic of tshirt) Shirts should be delivered during 1st period next Thursday.
If you ordered yearbook pictures from Albrittons, your pictures are in! Pick them up on the Boardwalk today. Tables will be organized by grade. You will need to sign for your pictures. You CANNOT pick up for anyone else. Seniors that leave before lunch may stop by Miss Kiper's room 6204 today to pick them up.
There will be a Habitat for Humanity Meeting Tuesday, October 18th. The $10 club fee is due by Thursday, October 20th. You may pay this starting now to Mrs. Duke in room 3209 or Mr. Aswell in room 5208. Please sign up for the Habitat for Humanity Remind texts. The yearbook staff is celebrating National Yearbook Week and we'd like to announce a few winners from our recent contests. Junior Civitans who would like to volunteer at the first annual Pumpkin Fest hosted by the Downtown West Monroe Revitalization Group on Saturday, October 29, should sign up outside Mrs. Beach's room (6206).

This week, October 3 - 7, the West Monroe High School Junior Classical League will be sponsoring a book drive collecting new and gently used books, targeting middle to high school reading ages, to help several Ascension and Livingston Parish school libraries rebuild after losing everything in the recent flooding. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Bring your books to your homeroom; JCL members will collection Friday morning. The homeroom with the most donations will celebrate with doughnuts!
Are you ready for Homecoming week? Do you have your outfits planned for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of next week? If you're having trouble coming up with a costume, we have the solution! Here is the homecoming tshirt designed by sophomore student, Dee Wyatt. There will not be a dance or game day shirt for the homecoming game, so this is the ONLY one we'll have to commemorate this Homecoming 2016. The shirts are Comfort Colors brand and will be $15. They will only be for sale THIS WEEK! Bring $15 cash to room 6204 starting tomorrow to pre-order your tshirt.

Homecoming dance tickets are on sale through Thursday Oct 13 during both lunch shifts.
If you are bringing a date from outside our school you need to come get a form from outside Mrs. Knox's room. This form states that the student you are a trying to bring is not a bad apple and would not cause a ruckus for us at the dance. The school that they attend must sign and fax the form back to us. Forms will not be accepted from students. Inviting someone from our school is a much simpler option.
Homecoming week will be here soon. We will have 3 spirit days that week to celebrate the week. We are out of school on Monday and Tuesday for fall break, so the first day will be Wednesday. We are calling Wednesday, "When I Grow up" We would like to see everyone dressed up like what they want to be as an adult. Maybe an astronaut, a doctor or even a soldier. Thursday will be "Traditional Trick or Treat" So try to put together a witch or maybe an angel costume. Be sure to bring a jack-o-lantern for some sweet treats around the school. Friday will be "Decade Day" You can come as a 20's flapper or gangster, 50's sock hopper , hippie tie dye or even 80s big hair.week.
The annual homecoming production for the community will be on Thursday, October 13, at 6:30 pm. You can purchase your tickets for the production online at http://www.gorebs.org!
The college financial aid process is starting early.

West Monroe High School will participate in the national administration of the PSAT on October 19th. This test is designed to recognize high achieving 10th and 11th grade students throughout the county. The cost for this test is $20 cash payable to 10th and 11th grade English teachers through today.
Tadpoles with 5 service hours have homecoming practice 11th at 5pm in the Old Gym. You MUST be able to make at least 2 of those practices in addition to mandatory dress rehearsal next Wednesday, the 12th.
The spirit theme for today is PINK OUT as we kick off Pinktober against the Ruston Bearcats! Wear pink to support cancer patients, survivors, and the families of those who have lost their fight. See you at 7:00 Friday night in Rebel Stadium!
