Attention all art club members. Tee shirts have been ordered. If you want to use the Remind text and have not received the green permission letter for your parents to sign, please see Mrs. Ganley in room 1109.

 

History Club will be traveling to Dallas, Texas on November 18th to visit the Sixth Floor Museum and to attend the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The cost will be 140 dollars, and will cover your museum ticket, charter bus fee, symphony ticket, and dinner. You are responsible for the cost of your lunch and souvenirs. Please see Mr. Mercer in room 5210 on Tuesday, September 19th to pick up a permission packet. Attendance is first come, first serve. Mr. Mercer will begin accepting money on Wednesday, September 20th at 7 AM. Money and permission packets must be turned in at the same time.The first 36 students to turn in both will be given a spot on the trip. Show up early to save your spot!

 

Spanish Club would like to congratulate its new officers. President, Landon Barnes. Vice president, Joey Kirkland. Secretary, Rebecca Black. And representatives Scotty David, Jade Parker, and Katherine Antley.

 

10th-12th Grade Junior Civitans who are interested in participating in the People with Special Needs Day at the Ark-LA-Miss Fair may pick up permission forms outside Mrs. Beach's room (6206). Only the first 25 completed forms will be allowed to go. The deadline to return forms isSeptember 21.

 

Any student wanting to attend the annual Rebel Runway at the WM Convention Center may see Mrs. Hunt in room 4209 to purchase a ticket. Each ticket is $40. The show will sell out soon, and you don't want to miss seeing your West Monroe spirit groups and athletes walking the runway. This exciting event will take place at 6:00 on Tuesday, September 26

 

Robotics is now taking applications for new members! If interested please apply by going to the robotics page on gorebs.org. Applications are due by Sept. 26th. Please see Mrs. Duke, Mr. Lewis, or Mr. Aswell if you have any questions.

Everyone has done a great job of bringing disinfectant wipes and baby wipes to help in the hurricane Harvey cleanup. Please don't quit bringing those wipes. FCS will continue to take donations in mrs counts room 4104 through Friday. 

 

Sign up for the WMHS fall LifeShare Blood Drive will be held on Tuesday, September 19th and Wednesday, September 20th at both lunch shifts. Please stop by the LifeShare table which will be located under the boardwalk by the cafeteria if you wish to donate. Donors who are 16 years old must have a signed permission form in order to donate. These forms will be available during the sign up. Donors 17 years and older must have a photo ID on the day of the blood drive. Dates for the blood drive are October 3rd and 4th. Please remember that you can only sign up to donate during an elective class.
