The National Honor Society will have its first meeting on Wednesday, September 14 at 6:00 in the library.

  • This meeting is MANDATORY. 
  • T-shirt orders will be placed during the meeting.  The cost is 16.00 cash to be paid in cash at the meeting.   
  • All members must come by Ms. Rodgers’ room 1205 TODAY to pick up an information packet prior to the meeting.  
  • Attention all students taking a dual enrollment class through ULM: Your fall payment is due to Mrs. Hunt in room #4209 NO LATER THAN Thursday, Sept. 15th. All payments must be a check or money order made out to ULM, and your full name should be on the check/money order.

You will only pay for classes  that you are taking this semester. So, the following will be paid NEXT semester: statistics, the second half of pre-calc.,  and the second half of English.

The Ouachita Parish School Board will be paying for one DE class for all JUNIORS and SENIORS this semester. That's $150 less what you thought you'd be paying!

If you have any questions concerning payment, please see your dual enrollment teacher or Mrs. Hunt.


Are you a US citizen?  Are you 18 or will you be 18 by November 8?  If you answered, "yes" to both of these questions, you need to register to vote.  Stop by Guidance and pick up a voter registration form today.

Here's how you can sign up, come to PE gym before school or between classes 1st thru 3rd periods!  You must have $295.00 dollars with you when you sign up.  Cash or money order only!

Attention Biology Club Members:

Our first meeting will be Tuesday, September 13th at 6:30 under the Boardwalk.  We will be painting for the Ouachita Rocks Campaign so don't dress fancy!  Your $15 club dues are due by the end of this meeting.  This meeting is for OLD Biology Club Members and the Tadpoles that earned enough community services hours last year to become a FROG!

If you cannot attend the meeting, you MUST pay your dues to Mrs. Knox is room 3109 or Ms. Wyatt is room 3201 by Tuesday.

The Quiz Bowl team is moving practices BACK to Wednesdays after school. Practices will take place in Mrs. Bell's room in the Magnatech building. We will practice after school TODAY, and Mrs. Bell will discuss an upcoming meet in Baton Rouge. Anyone still interested in joining quiz bowl can get an application form from the Quiz Bowl page under Clubs and Organizations at That form must be completed and signed before you are officially on the team. 

Students, the first meeting for our competition robotics team, Magnatech 3468, will be Tuesday, Sept. 13 in the MAGNAtech building. This meeting is for returning members ONLY. Please do everything in your power to attend. If you are not available, there will be a follow up meeting in Mrs. Bell's room (7102) on Wednesday morning that you MUST attend. Again, this is for returning members ONLY. 

Anyone interested in joining the Competition robotics team, MAGNAtech 3468, should go to the Robotics page under Clubs and Organizations on and complete the application. The application is digital. Hand-written or printed applications WILL NOT be accepted. Please complete the application by Tuesday, Sept. 21st. You will be contacted after that date regarding the status of your application. 

Yearbook picture/ID retakes will be next Tuesday, September 13th in the Main Office Lobby starting at 7:30 am.  Teachers should schedule their picture before school starts.  Students will be called by grade over the intercom.  This is a free service for anyone that missed preview day and 1st day of school pictures.  If you took your picture, you should have received your proofs from Albritton’s by now.  If you would like a retake of that picture, you must pay $5 on retake day.  If you would like to order pictures from your proof, turn the order form with money into the main office today by 3 pm or at Albritton Photography by 5 pm.

Senior baby ad forms are available outside of room 6204.  Pictures and money are due November 1st.

Yearbooks are currently on sale for $65.  You may order online through the link on or with cash to room 6204.

All senior students interested pharmacy need to register to attend PharmFUTURE 2016. The ULM School of Pharmacy will host this event on September 19 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  Registration if free!  Check with English IV, Pre-calculus, and Calculus teachers for more information.  A flyer is also available in Guidance.

10th-12th Grade Junior Civitans who are interested in participating in the People with Special Needs Day at the Ark-LA-Miss Fair may pick up permission forms outside Mrs. Beach's room (6206). Only the first 25 completed forms will be allowed to go. The deadline to return forms is September 16th.
