The Rebel golf team played in the Barbe Invitational at Grey Plantation in Lake Charles on Thursday March 15th during spring break. The team placed first beating Sulphur High School by 1 stroke. Jacob Slaughter had the low round of 77 for the Rebels! Chandler Van sealed the win for the Rebels birdying his final hole! Congratulations to the team. The Rebels will be playing in two Front 0 Tour events this week.On Tuesday the team will be at Black Bear in Delhi and on Thursday the team will be playing at Frenchmen's Bend. Good luck to the boys and girls!


Attention all students who are thinking about taking a dual enrollment class next year:

There will be an informative meeting held in the auditorium on Thursday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m.There are a number of changes as far as requirements so make plans to attend! Required paperwork will be handed out as well. Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting. See or email Mrs. Hunt for any questions concerning dual enrollment.


Jr Civitans who are interested in assisting with the Special Olympics Track and Field events on Friday, March 23rd must pick up permission forms outside room 6206. Only the first 25 completed forms will be allowed to participate. Forms are due to Mrs. Beach Tomorrow.


The Alzheimer's Foundation Scholarship is due March 26.


You may now apply for the Southern University Alumni Federation Monroe Chapter Scholarship. Applications are available in guidance as well as on our website and our WMHS Face Book page. The deadline to apply is April 20.


The Kiroli Parents and Loyal Supporters (KPALS) Scholarship Application is now available in guidance and on our guidance website. The deadline for applying is March 23.


Senior guys, TheLouisiana State University chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon is offering the Balanced Man Scholarship. Three, one-time scholarships in the amounts of $2000, $1000, and $1000 to incoming freshmen men for the 2018-2019 academic year will be awarded.The men of the Louisiana Beta chapter strive to reward men who exemplify the qualities of a Sound Mind and a Sound Body, as they believe these are essential to leading a balanced life. Specifically, a Sigma Phi Epsilon balanced man is a leader, scholar, athlete, and a gentleman.To qualify for the Balanced Man Scholarship, you must submit an application by April 1, 2018 and enroll, full-time, at Louisiana State University, for the Fall 2018 term. You can apply online (preferred) at: under the Balanced Man Scholarship link on the home page. If you prefer to mail your application, you can pick up a paper application in the guidance office.
