The annual Rebel Runway is being held at the WM Convention Center onTuesday, Sept. 25 at 6:00. Anyone interested in attending may purchase a ticket for $40 from a WM cheerleader, or you may purchase one from Mrs. Brothers, Mrs. Garvin, or Mrs. Hunt. This will be a sell out event so hurry up and make plans to see your Rebel cheerleaders, Raiders, and athletes strut their stuff on stage.


Are you a student making a difference in your community through volunteering?If so, you could be the recipient of one of the 2019 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.That means you could earn a thousand dollars or more and an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D. On Saturday, September 15,Tulane University will be hosting a Campus Preview Day for all Louisiana students and families. The event is geared toward juniors and seniors, but sophomores and freshmen are also welcome to attend. During the event, students will tour campus, explore classrooms and labs, hear from students and faculty at panel discussions, get important tips for the admission and financial aid processes, and learn about special opportunities for Louisiana students at Tulane.

Grambling State University will be hosting High School Day on Saturday, September 22, 2018.This is an excellent opportunity for prospective students that have an interest in becoming a part of the Grambling family.Get an intimate look into the University's exceptional degree programs and engage in student life on campus. Each guest will have the opportunity to interact with faculty and staff from over 40 degree programs! Grambling State University Student Ambassadors will also be available for tours.Here is the best news:On-site Admission will be available. Become a Tiger on September 22, 2018. Bring a copy of your high school transcript and ACT test scores. Are you interested in Mississippi State University? Do you have an ACT score of 30 or above?If so, sign up for Scholars Recognition Days at the Mississippi State University website.There is no charge for this event, but space is limited.Scholars Recognition Days are October 15,November 5 and November 19.

Mississippi State University is hosting three fall college preview days in 2018  October 8, October 29and November 12.This event is geared towards juniors and seniors.Just pick a date and register at the Mississippi State University website.The goal is for students to spend an entire day on campus and see what a day in the life of a bulldog is all about.Students and their families will have a chance to hear from academic representatives, check out residence halls, eat lunch at one of the on-campus eateries, learn how students get involved at MSU, and so much more. Dont delay if you are considering a future at Mississippi State.


Jr Civitans: there are still some shifts available to work at the fair. Please come by Mrs Beach’s room Tuesday to sign up. You will be notified when shirts come in.


The first French club meeting will be this Thursday starting at7:15in room 2203. If you would like to submit a t-shirt design, it is due by the end of the school day on Wednesday

The next driver's ed class will not start untilTuesday Sept. 25, the State has added a requirement before you can enroll for the class. You must first go to the Office of Motor vehicles and get a temporary permit, then you will be eligible to enroll in Drivers ed classes. You can get the information in the front office or at check in check out. One of the items you need to take to get this permit is a school enrollment form which you can also get in the front office.


Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Chick Fil A Leader Academy. Go to to complete the application by Thursday at 3:30.


Seniors and Juniors, You are invited to attend the NELA College and Career Fair scheduled for thisWednesday, Sept. 12, from5:00-7:00 in our Edgewood MultipurposeBuilding. We will have a variety of colleges/universities/community colleges/technical schools/armed service reps/public service reps and others here for you and your parents to meet. Be sure to mark this on your calendar!


This is the last week to buy your athletic pass. Get yours before its too late!


Sophomores and juniors may pick up IDs today during both lunch shifts.The picture that is on your ID will appear in the yearbook, unless you are a senior and took a special picture in Albritton studios.Do not lose this ID!It is good for 3 years.It will cost $5 to replace in Student Services if you lose it. If you have not taken a yearbook picture yet, you WILL NOT have an ID to pick up.


Attention freshmen: if you have turned in an application for either Freshman class President or Vice President, you need to see Mrs Jones in room 6205 at the beginning of your lunch shift today.


There is a list of Tadpoles outside Room 3204 with important information. Be sure to check it out as soon as possible!


Before we close out this mornings announcements, lets take a moment to remember all the lives that were lost on this day, seventeen years ago. This event will always go down as a stain on American history, and we will continue to honor the lives that were lost for years to come.
