Good Morning West Monroe, It's Thursday, November 10, 2016 and we have your morning announcements.


I am Essence and I am Joe we have your morning announcements.


Seniors, Join the Seniors 2017 Remind Class with Ms. Gray and Mrs. Tolar to get up-to-date information on senior announcements and scholarship opportunities.  Stop by your senior counselor's office or check with your senior English teacher to get the information needed to join this class.

Junior Civitans who would like to help with Claiborne Elementary's Fall Festival on Saturday, November 12 should sign up outside Mrs. Beach's room (6206).


Student Council is hosting its annual Christmas cheer canned food drive. There will be a competition between homeroom classes.  The first place class will win a pizza lunch and second place will win donuts.  Please help support a worthy cause.


The Ouachita Green Recycling Collection Event this Saturday, November 12 at the Monroe Civic Center from 9AM to 1PM. 

There is no cost and they are accepting  Recycling Materials such as: tires, office paper, magazines, card board, Plastic Containers Numbers 1 thru 7 (no plastic bags or styrofoam), white goods/scrap metal(tin cans, aluminum cans, old appliances, refrigerators, stoves, and hot water heaters), automobile batteries and electronic wastes(computers, monitors, assorted computer accessories, printers, scanners, fax machines, speakers, VCRs, DVD players, stereo equipment, TVs, cell phones, etc. anything with a cord).


Tonight the Rebel and Lady Rebel Basketball season kicks off with the jamboree versus none other than the Ouachita Lions! There will be six consecutive games starting with the freshman girls at 3:40, followed by the freshman boys at 4:20. The JV girls will be at 5:00 followed by the JV boys at 5:45. And lastly the Varsity girls will play at 6:30 and the Varsity boys at 7:20. We have some very talented teams this year and hope to see all of you pack the gym tonight as we take on the Lions!




Early action deadline for Tulane University is November 15 in order to receive an admission decision by December 20.  Tulane accepts the Common App or Tulane application and there is never an application fee.  Remember, you must apply Early Decision I or Early Action in order to be considered for their Louisiana Guaranteed Admission program.
