Mississippi State University is offering the Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program (METP) Scholarship designed to prepare teacher candidates for the education profession. Qualified high school applicants must have a 28 or above on their ACT and a 3.5 GPA. The award covers full tuition, books, room and board, and incidental expenses for four years of attendance along with a one-time technology stipend. On November 20th Mississippi State will be hosting the annual METP Scholars Day on Campus for high school seniors who are interested. To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:

Be a graduating, minority high school senior

Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States

Show leadership potential

Demonstrate a dedication to community service

Present evidence of financial need

Be a United States citizen

Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21

The deadline to submit the application for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship isFebruary 1, 2018by4:00 PM.

 

Seniors, while on your hunt for college scholarships, be sure to check out this list of 10 Scholarship Programs that will give out more than one million dollars to students this 2017-2018 school year. Don't delay because deadlines for these scholarships range from November 17 to January 31.

 

Key Club went Trick or treating for UNICEF around Halloween and raised $575.33 within 2 hours! This money will help expecting mothers and children get immunizations they desperately need. Thank you key club! You are awesome! Also don't forget we are working a station at the Cotton land marathon this Saturday at 7am.We will be providing waters to the runners. Please Plan to be available. Ms. Jones will text you the location within the next couple days.

 

Junior Civitans will have a meeting on Tuesday, November 14 immediately after school in room 6206.
