The Louisiana State Nights of Columbus is offering a great Scholarship Program for Catholic Boys and Girls to reward their fine efforts. If you are a Catholic boy or girl that exemplifies leadership and Catholic values, you will want to apply for this scholarship program. State winners will receive $4,000, 2nd place winners will receive $3,000, 3rd place winners will receive $2,000 and all regional winners will receive an addition $500 each. You may apply online at www.louisianakc.org. The deadline for applying is January 25th, 2018.

 

There will be another volleyball clinic on Saturday, November 4. The cost is $35 and includes a T-shirt. Please be sure to register by this Friday, 10/27. Forms can be picked up in the main office.

 

Any student who has not got their student section sticker on their ID needs to come by room 3103 this week. No one will be allowed in the student section this Friday without a sticker!!!

 

On Saturday, Nov. 4, beginning at 7:30 a.m., the University of Louisiana Monroe will host its annual Browse on the Bayou, a specially designed campus visit day for high school juniors and seniors and transfer students.This campus preview day is a great opportunity for potential students to meet with faculty, staff and other students as they tour the campus and learn about various academic opportunities, student organizations and scholarships at ULM.Check-in is at Brown Auditorium and campus tours are every 10 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.President Nick J. Bruno will deliver his welcome address at 9 a.m. at the auditorium.Visitors will be served donuts for breakfast and Chick-Fil-A for lunch.Each student will also receive a free Browse on the Bayou T-shirt and a complimentary game ticket to watch theWarhawks as they take on Appalachian State at2 p.m.at Malone Stadium. Chick-Fil-A of Monroe and West Monroe will be teaming up with West Monroe High School and Ouachita Parish High School to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation. tonight at the game, the Chick-Fil-A cows will be out roaming with some give-a-ways so it will be an awesome atmosphere to come out and support not only your Rebels, but a great cause as well. The 1st 150 students in the student section will also receive a free Chick-Fil-A sandwich Digital Offer Card. Don't miss it! It's sure to be a lot of fun. They will also donate $1 from every strawberry shake sold in October to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.“We love supporting our home teams and hope loyal WMHS and OPHS fans will join us at the game Friday, October 27, 2017, “ said operator David Benson.

This is just a reminder that Tulane University's Early Action deadline will be here soon. You need to submit your application byNovember 15in order to receive a decision byJanuary 15. Keep in mind that students must apply Early Decision byNovember 1or Early Action byNovember 15in order to be considered for Tulane'sLouisiana Guaranteed Admission program.

 

Students planning to apply for one of Tulane's full-tuition scholarships must apply for admission under Early Decision or Early Action by their November deadlines. The scholarship applications are due byDecember 5. Tulane offers additional scholarships, including awards exclusively for Louisiana students.

 

For the 2017-18 school year, 98% of new students from Louisiana received financial aid with an average grant or scholarship of nearly $44,000 per year and an average total award of over $50,000 per year.
