Student council will be selling candy grams on the boardwalk during both lunches. The candy grams will include a card and candy this year. You will have two card styles to choose from. They are $1.00 and will be delivered to the recipients during 2nd hour on Valentine's Day.
Scheduling for the senior Class of 2018 will begin in February. You will receive a information packet from your English teacher this week. Packets contain graduation requirements, course selections and a sample scheduling form. Be sure to check out courses at the Electives Fair this week and discuss your course selections with your parents. Your English teacher will announce the days your class is scheduled to meet with the counselors this month.
Congratulations to the Lady Rebel Soccer Team on their 6-1 victory over Ruston last night, which also was the ladies senior night. Goals were scored by Savannah Hennon, Faith Stansbury, Mary Grace Dupuy, Emily Whiteman, Conner Bacon, and Anna Cranford.
The Lady Rebels finished the regular season with a record of 16-7-2 and have earned a first round home playoff game to be played later this week. The state championship playoff brackets come out today, so we will update you tomorrow with our opponent and game time.
Key club will meet Thursday morning at 730 am in room 3103 to vote for 2016-2017 officers. These officers will attend training later in February. Key club members Need to be in attendance for this meeting.
Attention all second semester dual enrollment students:
Good News! The Ouachita Parish School Board will once again fund ONE dual enrollment course for all juniors and seniors. To see which class is being funded, please check with one of your dual enrollment teachers; each DE teacher has a list. After determining which class is funded, make appropriate payments to Mrs. Hunt for classes through ULM and Mr. Aswell for classes through LA Tech. Only checks and money orders will be taken for payment- NO CASH! Also, be sure to write your full name on your payment. Tuition payments are due no later than Friday, February 3rd. See Mrs. Hunt with any questions
Attention all sophomores and juniors:
Are you interested in becoming a teacher or coach? If so,you should sign up for STAR, an elective for those interested in the field of education. In addition, you can earn college credit and participate in an internship three days a week at the school of your choice. Be sure to stop by the STAR table at the electives fair on Wednesday. See Mrs. Hunt, the STAR teacher, in room #4209 if you have any questions.
