Congratulations to the girls and boys cross country team for their great showing in the Ruston invitational over the weekend. Alexus Sims led the girls to a runner-up finish. Other top finishers for the girls were Laura Katherine Dupuy and Anna Grace McDuffie.

Daniel Rowland and David Bennett were the top finishers for the boys team that placed third.

Seniors, get a baby ad form outside room 6204 and HURRY to turn it in before November first!

Time is running out to buy a yearbook before prices go up.  Order online at balfour.com or stop by Mrs. McDuffie's room 6204.

A representative from Centenary College will be with us today at both lunch shifts.  You don’t have to be a senior to make contact with a college admissions officer, so make time to stop and visit with our guest.  Find out what Centenary College has to offer you.  Keep in mind that 82% of all Centenary students have participated in international educational experience and all students have the option of starting their college career in Paris, France.  If you have always dreamed of study abroad, Centenary may be just the right fit for you. It’s worth noting that 100% of all Centenary students receive some form of Merit Aid to make college more affordable.  This is definitely something to keep in mind as you begin comparing the costs of higher education.

Congratulations to Reece Aultman.  Reece has been accepted to Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi.  The admissions and scholarship committee has awarded him the Millsaps Presidential Scholarship of $30,000 a year.  That’s $120,000 over the course of four years.  When thinking about where to apply to college, remember that a private college may be more affordable than you think. Just ask Reece!
