Students if you are interested in a healthcare career, A-HEC has some opportunities for you. There will be four one day field trips to local colleges that will allow you to get a closer look at medical degrees that they offer. Colleges that are included are LSU Health Shreveport, LA Tech, Northwestern, and ULM. If you are interested, grab a application form outside of room 3101, complete the form, and mail it to the address listed beforeNovember 3rd.

Key club will have a meeting Tuesday, October 24th at 7:20am in room 3103 to discuss the upcoming service projects for end of October and November. If you can't make it to the morning meeting, Ms. Jones will meet with you immediately after school on Tuesday. There are sign up sheets for projects outside room 3103.

Yearbooks are still on sale but are now $70. You may purchase them online at gorebs.org or cash to room 6204. Senior baby ad forms are still available outside room 6204. The deadline isNov. 1st.October 25this National Buy Your Yearbook Day so look for some fun games and prizes from your yearbook staff. Student Council will be selling Class Shirts today throughFriday, October 27th. The shirts will be soldon the Boardwalk during both lunch shifts. The shirts are comfort colors and each grade will be in a different color. Short sleeve shirts will be sold for $12.00 and long sleeve shirts will be sold for $15.$5.00 from every shirt sold will go to the Student Council State Charity which is theMuscular Dystrophy Association of Louisiana. Please buy a shirt and support a great cause!

The Chick-fil-a Restaurants in Monroe and West Monroe will team up with West Monroe High School and Ouachita Parish High School to raise awareness for breast cancer. To kick things off, Chick-fil-a of Monroe and West Monroe will donate $1 from every strawberry shake sold in October to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

 

“We love supporting our home teams and hope loyal WMHS and OPHS fans will join us at the gameFriday, October 27, 2017, “ said operator David Benson. The first 5000 fans in the gate wearing anything pink will receive a Digital Offer Card for a Free Entre Item. The first 150 students in the student section will also receive a free Chick-fil-a sandwich digital offer card. The Chick-fil-a cows will be out roaming so it will be a great atmosphere to come out and support not only your Rebels but a great cause.

 

Continuing the national chemistry week celebrations today is mole-oha day. Be on the look out for your Hawaiian themed attire. Hope everyone has a moletastic day.

On Saturday, Nov. 4, beginning at7:30 a.m., the University of Louisiana Monroe will host its annual Browse on the Bayou, a specially designed campus visit day for high school juniors and seniors and transfer students.This campus preview day is a great opportunity for potential students to meet with faculty, staff and other students as they tour the campus and learn about various academic opportunities, student organizations and scholarships at ULM.Check-in is at Brown Auditorium and campus tours are every 10 minutes between7:30 a.m. and 8:20 a.m.President Nick J. Bruno will deliver his welcome address at9 a.m.at the auditorium.Visitors will be served donuts for breakfast and Chick-Fil-A for lunch.Each student will also receive a free Browse on the Bayou T-shirt and a complimentary game ticket to watch theWarhawks as they take on Appalachian State at2 p.m.at Malone Stadium.
