Congratulations to the Lady Rebel Soccer team on their 5-2 win over Natchitoches Central last night. Mary Grace Dupuy led the team, scoring 3 goals to seal the victory. Conner Bacon also added a goal and an assist and Emily Whiteman finished off the scoring. Anna Cranford also chipped in with an assist. This win brought the girls record to 14 - 7 - 2 and has them poised to host a first round playoff match at the end of next week. But before that, the girls play West Ouachita here in Rebel Stadiumthis Friday afternoon at4:30and then we host Ruston HSon Mondayfor Senior Night at7:15. The girls are playing well and the weather has been really nice, so come on out and support these ladies. Students, as always, get in FREE!

A Drivers Education class will be taught at Good Hope Middle School in the Library. This class will be taught by Mike Robbins. The dates for this class are:
February 6-10 3:30-6:30
February 13-16 3:30-6:30
February 21 3:30-6:30
Sign up is at Good Hope Middle School and here at West Monroe High School. Sign up at Good Hope will be from 8-3. Parents must have an original birth certificate, original social security card, and a valid drivers license when signing up. Cost for the class is $295 payable by cashiers check, money order, or cash. Deadline to sign up is February 3, 2017.
If youve got the inclination to draw, design, problem-solve and create things, you should think about taking Computer Aided Design (CAD).This class will allow students to discover for themselves the potential of 3D Printing through a build intensive design project. This course is an excellent option for anyone who ever wanted to prototype an invention, create a work of art, customize a product or just make something cool! Mrs. Clark is pleased to announce that the course Human Anatomy and Physiology has been added back to the curriculum as a Core 4 science credit. It was also retroactivated to include students who entered high school in the 2014-2015 school year. A huge thank you to Dr. Frank Hoffman, the State Legislation, and the BESE Board for making this happen.
Mrs. Clark will be at the Course/Electives Fair on February 1. Students are invited to stop by to ask questions and learn more about what WMHS offers in the Health Sciences.
Seniors, the Rebel Lunch Bunch Scholarship application is now ready for pickup in Guidance. It is a paper application and the deadline is April 3rd.
Student council will be selling candy grams on the boardwalk during both lunches. The candy grams will include a card and candy this year. You will have two card styles to choose from. They are $1.00 and will be delivered to the recipients during 2nd hour on Valentine's Day.
If you are senior and plan on participating in the graduation ceremony onMay 11, you need graduation supplies.If you have not ordered your supplies from the Graduate Shop, you have untilFebruary 3rdto do so. After that, the price increases to $85.Call or stop by the Graduate Shop as quickly as possible.
Albritton Photography will be on campus next week to take cap and gown pictures. These pictures are for any seniors who have not had a cap and gown picture taken at Albritton’s. These pictures are used in the slide show during the graduation ceremony. Students will have the option of buying these pictures: the proofs will be mailed home.
The schedule for pictures is
Mrs. Barron’s and Mr. Reid’s classes, as well as any other senior not in a senior English class, on Wednesday, February 1st and Mrs. Hunts, Mrs. Rodgers, and Mrs. Rutledge’s classes on Thursday, February 2nd.
Boys should try to wear a shirt and tie (at least a button-down shirt). Girls should try to wear a V-neck or scoop-neck top that wont be seen under the gown. Both boys and girls should have clean, neat fingernails. Piercings, other than girls ears, are not allowed.
