10th graders - Are you ready for our student and parent meeting tomorrow night. Meet in the Auditorium at 6:30 PM to find out about your graduation options and more. We will talk about diploma pathways, Dual Enrollment and finding funding for college. You'll also get to sample tasty treats from our Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Department.
Art club will meet Thursday November 3rd from 3:15-4:00 in Mrs. Ganley's room 1109. Please make plans to attend. Have a ride home at 4:00. Everyone must leave at 4:00pm. Thank you.
The West Monroe Civitan club needs your help to win $25,000 in funding for the Smiles Park at Kiroli! This will be an all-inclusive park for kids of ALL abilities! Teachers, students, etc. can vote up to 10 times per day every day through Nov. 4 simply by visiting www.smilespark.org.
Are you a high school student who's making a difference through volunteering? Apply for a 2017 Prudential Spirit of Community Award and you could win $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C., next May! West Monroe High School will also recognize some of our students for local recognition for their volunteerism as well. The deadline for this scholarship is November 8, 2016.

The Lady Rebel Soccer team got off to a good start in their first action of the season last night. The JV girls defeated OCS by a score of 2-0 while the Varsity squad beat Ouachita HS 8-0.
Mary Grace Dupuy led the varsity team with 3 goals and 2 assists. Also scoring goals were Abby Lee with 2 and Caroline Girod, Anna Cranford, and Savannah Hennon with 1 goal apiece.
Caroline, Mary Grace, Abby, Anna, Savannah, and Kely Mora also had assists in the match. The JV girls will be in action this Monday night at home vs Sterlington at 5:30 and then the Varsity and JV wrap up the preseason schedule next Thursday at home vs Neville.
The American Choral Directors Association is the national governing body for choral music. They auditioned over 5000 singers for their National Honor Choir that will perform in Minneapolis, Minnesota in March. West Monroe High School had the following students selected to this prestigious organization. They are:
Gabby Ballew, Brooke BeDoit, Paige Freeman, Morgan Oden, and Sierra Shoemaker.
