And now, here's our AP minute

The West Monroe High School Air Force Junior ROTC is a leadership training program which offers students the opportunity to learn about being better citizens. Cadets have classes which focus on aerospace science as well as leadership and communications. Cadets are not required to join the military, but many choose to do so of their own accord. Today, we would like to recognize our seniors in the JROTC program that will be continuing on to college. Pictured from left to right we have:

Cadet Major Abraham Arun.  Abraham has applied to Purdue University, Ohio State and Ole Miss.He intends to major in Aviation with Flight.

Cadet MajorCaleb Shumate.  Caleb has applied to ULM and will major in Nursing.

Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Jaiden Nordstrom.  Jaiden will attend LA Tech University and major in Computer Science with a focus on Cyber Security.

Cadet Major Jake Manley - Jake will be attending Louisiana Tech University and begin by focusing on General Studies.

Cadet Captain Jacob Graves  Jacob will be attending Louisiana Tech University and pursue a major in Chemical Engineering.

Cadet Captain Skylar Stubleski- Skylar will be attending Louisiana Tech University and majoring in Mechanical Engineering.

Cadet 1st Lieutenant Anna Ruel.  Anna will attend Louisiana Tech University or Flight School for the Army with a goal of becoming a Professional Aviator.

Nordstrom, Manley, Graves, and Stubleski are all competing for the honor of receiving the ROTC Scholarship. This is a very prestigious award and we wish them each the best of luck.

Students - If you have an interest in joining this elite group of men and women, talk to your counselor during scheduling in the spring. It's never to late to join their ranks.

The Rebel Football moms are making noise makers that we hope to use throughout the playoffs. They have decorated empty milk and water jugs and well as thick plastic gatorade bottles. If you would like a noise maker, come by Mrs.Knox's room, 3109, with your donation of a bottle or jug and she will trade it out with a decorated one filled with beads and ready to make the stadium ROAR with noise.
