The National Honor Society will have its first meeting tonight Wednesday, September 14 at 6:00 in the library.
- This meeting is MANDATORY.
- T-shirt orders will be placed during the meeting. The cost is 16.00 cash to be paid in cash at the meeting.
- All members must come by Ms. Rodgers’ room 1205 TODAY to pick up an information packet prior to the meeting.
Junior Civitans may pick up their t-shirts from Mrs. Beach - room 6206. You MUST wear your shirt when you work your shift at the fair.
Attention all students taking a dual enrollment class through ULM: Your fall payment is due to Mrs. Hunt in room #4209 NO LATER THAN Thursday, Sept. 15th. All payments must be a check or money order made out to ULM, and your full name should be on the check/money order.
You will only pay for classes that you are taking this semester. So, the following will be paid NEXT semester: statistics, the second half of pre-calc., and the second half of English.
The Ouachita Parish School Board will be paying for one DE class for all JUNIORS and SENIORS this semester. That's $150 less what you thought you'd be paying!

Congratulations to A.J. Chambers who was elected President of the Art Club for the 2016/17 school year. The next regular art club meeting will be held on Thursday October 6 in Mrs. Ganley's room 1109. It will last from 3:15 until 3:50. Thank you.
Applications for Habitat for Humanity can now be picked up from Mrs. Duke in room 3209 or Mr. Aswell in room 5208. Completed applications are due to either room on Sept. 21st.
Yearbook picture retakes will be today starting at 9 o'clock in the main office lobby. We will call students down by grade over the intercom. We will start with seniors and any teacher that hasn't had their picture made or would like a retake for $5. Please listen for your grade to be called. This will be the last opportunity for you to get your picture taken for the yearbook.
Remaining unclaimed student IDs should have been distributed yesterday in 1st period. If you took your picture before today and didn't receive an ID, stop by 6204. If you didn't take your picture before today, you WILL NOT have an ID. You will need to see Student Services about one.

Freshman, this Thursday you will be voting for your student council class officers. Your class candidates have posters hung on the boardwalk. Familiarize yourselves with the candidates so you can vote in your new 9th grade President and Vice President.
Winners will be announced Friday.

Character Counts Club Invitations will be handed out in homerooms onThursday, September 15th. A list of this year's members will also be posted outside of room 6205. The first meeting for Character Counts Club will be on Tuesday, September 20th in room 6205. Meetings will be held at7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m . It is mandatory for members to attend one of these meetings.

Any boy wishing to play golf this spring need to come by Coach Pev's room and sign up and get your LHSAA packet and physical form.
Attention all Ladies! If you are interested in playing golf this year please see Coach Graf in the old gym before 5th period by Friday, September 23rd. You must own your own set of golf clubs to participate.
All senior students interested pharmacy need to register to attend PharmFUTURE 2016. The ULM School of Pharmacy will host this event on September 19 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration if free! Check with English IV, Pre-calculus, and Calculus teachers for more information. A flyer is also available in Guidance.
10th-12th Grade Junior Civitans who are interested in participating in the People with Special Needs Day at the Ark-LA-Miss Fair may pick up permission forms outside Mrs. Beach's room (6206). Only the first 25 completed forms will be allowed to go. The deadline to return forms is September 16th.
Grambling State University High School Preview Day is Saturday, September 24. Registration forms for this day of fun are in guidance and must be completed by September 22. There will be a bus provided for transportation provided for free. Stop by today and pick up this registration packet.
