You can begin signing up for the next driver's ed class anytime now.  You can sign up with me Coach Osborne in the PE gym between 1st thru 4th periods.  You must have 295 dollars in cash or a money order at the time of sign up.  You can also sign up and pay online at gorebs.org 

You must posses a temporary permit before the first day of class.  You will need a school enrollment form which you can pick up in the main office and take with you to the DMV. There will be a parent meeting on Saturday Sept. 28th at 7 am upstairs in the football field house and classes will start Tuesday October 1st at 5 pm in the football field house. Any questions please come coach Osborne. Information has been placed in the main office and at check in check out desk.

Students and Teachers - ACT has a new way to prep for the exam.  It's called ACT Academy.  ACT Academy™ is a free online learning tool and test practice program designed to help you get the best score possible on the ACT test and well on your way to college and career success.  This program is personalized and designed to help whether you have taken the ACT before or not.  You can sign up for the full length test practice and support or just prep by sections you want to strengthen.  Students, Teachers and Parents can sign up for the support.

Our spirit theme for this Friday is SUPERHERO! Rep your favorite hero to show your Rebel pride as we get ready to take on C.E. Byrd Friday night at Independence Stadium in Shreveport. We are going to need a big LOUD student section to cheer on our rebels, so please come and support this Friday night!

Homecoming Court Nomination forms are available on gorebs.org. The deadline for turning in nominations is Thursday, September 12th. 

 Remember, t-shirt money is due to Mrs. Cavin by this Friday, September 13th.

Biology Club members. If you would like to vote on this years tshirt color or make suggestions for some Biology Club projects for this year, please go online at GoRebs and look under Extra Curricular for the Biology Club. You will find a link to a survey to pick a new shirt color and more. Votes will be tallied this afternoon. So you have until 3  to bring your $15 to Mrs. Knox to order your super cool multi animal frog shirt. 

"If you are interested in joining 4-H please come by Ms. Russell's classroom, Room 6104, to pick up enrollment form and September Newsletter. Enrollment forms, $20 dues and t-shirt size should be turned into Ms. Russell by Friday September 20th."

Attention FCS Members – You can now order your T-Shirts on the West Monroe High School Website.  Look under the Parents & Students Tab and find Online School Payments.  Scroll down to Fellowship of Christian Students and order your shirt.  It's that easy!  The link will be live for two weeks only so don't postpone ordering your shirt.  

JCL members! There will be a meeting on Thursday, September 12, at 7:25 before school in the library. Meet Mrs. K at the "library" doors no later than 7:25. We will discuss Fall Forum and our September service. See you there!

10th, 11th, and 12th grade Junior Civitans who are interested in helping with the People with Special Needs Day at the fair on September 25th, should come pick up the permission forms that are outside Mrs. Beach's room (6206). Only the first 25 completed forms turned in will be allowed to go. 

Board Game club will have a meeting this Thursday in Mr. Mercer’s room, room 1221, from 3:15-4:30. Please bring club fees at this time. 

The first French club meeting is this Thursday morning at 7:20 in room 2203.

Juniors and Seniors - The College and Career Fair is this Thursday.  Stop by the Edgewood Multipurpose Complex any time between 5:30 and 7:30 to meet with college representatives.  Pick up some swag, get your questions answered and find out more about your future options.

Students - Are you an avid fisherman?  If so, you take home a $750  - $4,000 scholarship in the Teens Crappie Fishing for Scholarships tournament. This event is open to all students, not just seniors.  Stop by guidance soon to pick up your application brochure.  The tournament will be held on October 12th at Lake D'Arbonne.  The event will be filmed and aired on the Pursuit Channel and hosted by National Champion Paul Alphers.  Only 100 applications will be accepted, so don't delay.
