Amateur Radio Club will be participating in the National School Club Round Up today after school in the STEM building. Stop by to learn a few skills pertaining to ham radio!
Anyone interested in trying out for a West Monroe High School spirit group can pick up a packet in the main office. Cheer tryouts will be February 26 and March 4 and 5. Cheer packets are due no later than February the 24th. Raider tryouts will be March 1st through March 3rd and packets will be due no later than February 26th. Rebel line tryouts will be March 9 and 10th and packets will be due no later than February 25th. Please see any spirit group sponsor for more information.
Seniors - February 29th is the LAST day ULM can accept transcripts and ACT scores for ULM Academic Scholarship purposes. This is only for students who applied prior to January 31st. Remember, the December ACT is the last ACT that we accept for our Academic Scholarship consideration as well.
Senior Females - The Monroe Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. now has their local scholarship available. The applicant must be a female with at least a 2.5 GPA, have an ACT score of 20 or above and exhibit leadership ability through participation in extracurricular activities and/or community service during high school. All students - Remember that scheduling for next year is right around the corner. Start data gathering now. Talk to your teachers, siblings and peers. Be present on Thursday, March 12th, for the Course fair. Take an interest in what we offer and how our class offerings may help you get where you're headed after high school.
The West Monroe High Ag program will be selling Amaryllis, Paper Whites, and Red Tulips starting Wednsesday thu Friday from 8 a.m. till noon in the school entrance way while supplies last. Paper Whites, Red Tulips, and Amaryllis in regular 6 inch plastic pots are $10. Amaryllis in glass pots are $15.
