West Monroe High School continues to grow not only in enrollment and the scope of our challenging curriculum offerings, but also in the expansion of improved facilities and campus acreage.  Students have a varied selection of courses in academics, athletics, and the arts.  The choices are abundant, offering options in Advanced Placement and dual enrollment for Tops University diploma students, as well as Jump Start graduation pathways and Industry- Based Certifications for those pursuing a career or trade specialization.  Through diverse educational experiences and extra-curricular activities, our student body is exposed to a well-rounded and comprehensive education.  On a daily basis, our students rise to academic challenges, create music and art, and compete for championships.  They are committed to being fully engaged in meaningful learning endeavors which serve to equip them for future leadership responsibilities.

Interaction with faculty, staff or students naturally reveals a friendly, caring, and nurturing campus atmosphere.  It is our desire that we intentionally add value to the life of each student who walks our halls.  Our faculty understands the significant difference it can make through teaching with passion and purpose.  It is also our wish that all students develop the confidence needed to experience success, and upon graduation, become productive citizens in their communities.

As we face the days ahead, we do so with a strong sense of positive anticipation.  Our mission is clear.  There is a sign in the Orlando Science Center that reads, “Experiment-Experience-Explore.  Do not touch isn’t in our vocabulary.”  West Monroe High School has adopted this same philosophy, which we feel is perfect for a school and also for life.  We stand prepared, with an abundance mindset, to fill each day with “WIN”, and to earnestly seize the awesome opportunities this school year will bring.
