STUDENT COUNCIL CLASS REPRESENTATIVES

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

The West Monroe High School Student Council is a service organization that serves the student body, the faculty, and the administration of West Monroe High School.  We are responsible for many of the activities at WMHS, such as Junior/Senior Prom,  Teacher Appreciation, Christmas Cheer Canned Food Drive, Matchmakers, and various community service projects.

To be a member of the student council requires that you attend meetings (held the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM or another day and time as decided by the officers), participate in council services and activities, and set an example for students at school to follow.  You must also maintain a 2.5 grade point average to qualify to run and to remain a member.  If you do not fulfill the duties of membership, you will be removed from the council.

Think seriously before running.  This is NOT a social club nor is it a club to join in name only.  We are only interested in students who are willing to participate in council activities.  Students who were  Suspended last year or students who were removed from council are not eligible.
