CLUB and ORGANIZATION NEWS:  

All Student Council members, the October meeting has been changed to Tuesday, October 8th at 6:30pm in the Library.

Rebel Art Club members:Students who have filled out a Rebel Art Club application must pay club dues online by Friday, October 4th to be a member for the '24-'25 school year. If you cannot pay by this deadline, you must contact Mrs. Lengefeld privately by Oct. 4th to work out payment options. Any student who has not either paid online or contacted Mrs. Lengefeld by October 4th  will be removed from this year's roster.

SCHOOL NEWS: 

WMHS will administer the ACT to ALL JUNIORS and to seniors who have a score of 15-19. Test day is October 22. Mark your calendars.

The 2024-2025 Rebelaire is officially available for purchase. Go to Balfour.com and select our school and you can order now. Today the cost is $75 a yearbook, but on Jan 1, 2025 the price will jump to $100 a yearbook.  Also - SENIORS: Baby ad portal is also found through Balfour.com. Your parents can purchase the baby ad as well as your yearbook all in one shot. The baby ads will only be able to be purchased through Dec.1, 2024 so go ahead and take care of it now. 

Thanks to those of you who dressed up for Decade Day today.Tomorrow’s theme is “Teen Beach Movie” day. Wear surfer or biker things. Lunch activities will include a costume contest and snow cones.  Thank you to Mrs. Knox and Student Life for helping us celebrate this week. And speaking of dress up days, we are happy to announce 4 Winners of yesterday’s Student Life costume contest: Cruella Deville- Mrs Bedoit; The Monsters Inc Trio- our teachers Mr and Mrs Taylor and Mrs. Foster; The Chipmunks- Alvin, Simon and Theodore; And our winning Minnie Mouse was Minnie #2… Mrs knox forgot to ask your name. Please go down to room 3109 to claim your bag of candy prize!!! Great job. Stay tuned tomorrow to hear the next round of winners. Also, 2nd lunch shift… don’t forget to bring your chrome books so you can play the lunch time trivia game!!

SPORTS NEWS:

The Varsity football team takes on Scotlandville this Friday night in Rebel Stadium. This will wrap up our Homecoming week, so come out and have fun cheering on your team. 

The Volleyball team plays at ASH this afternoon. Good Luck to this team.

The Tennis teams take on West Ouachita at home tomorrow. Come support these teams if you can.

Our JV Team had a huge come from behind victory against Ruston last night, 21-14.  JV and Freshman will be back in action next monday against Ouachita.
