CLUB and ORGANIZATION NEWS:
All Student Council members, the October meeting is tonight at 6:30pm in the Library.
The Amateur Radio Club meeting scheduled for tomorrow afternoon is canceled. Amateur Radio Club members should stop by the Library this week to pick up a permission form for the upcoming School Club Round Up event. Forms are due Friday.
FCS/FCA meets tomorrow morning at 7:15 in the new gym.
Board Game Club has a meeting tomorrow in the library after school.
The Jesus Club,a new club on campus, meets every Tuesday at 7:10 am. Come experience bible study, testimonies, and worship. All are welcome, no matter what grade! Sometimes there are donuts
SCHOOL NEWS:
ACT Test Day is Tuesday, October 22. Check out the ACT tab on gorebs.org for all the latest information. Be sure to complete all pre-coding and choose the colleges to send your scores. Students testing on October 22 need to bring their charged Chromebook, charger, and ACT-approved calculator. No hoodies will be allowed on test day. Seniors, if you requested to test, payment is due by tomorrow, Wednesday, October 9th. If you have any questions, email Mrs.Rawls.
The 2024-2025 Rebelaire is officially available for purchase. Go to Balfour.com and select our school and you can order now. Today the cost is $75 a yearbook, but on Jan 1, 2025 the price will jump to $100 a yearbook. Also - SENIORS: Baby ad portal is also found through Balfour.com. Your parents can purchase the baby ad as well as your yearbook all in one shot. The baby ads will only be able to be purchased through Dec.1, 2024 so go ahead and take care of it now.

Just a reminder to everyone that the first nine weeks officially ends this Thursday. If you have some makeup work, please get that done ASAP so your grades will be posted correctly.
Grambling State University is having High School Day on November 9 for 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students. There is a registration fee of $30 which includes a Football Game Ticket, Meal Ticket and T-Shirt. Registration Packets can be picked up in the WMHS Guidance Office and include an Eventbrite link to register. Transportation will be provided by a bus that will leave Wossman High School at 6:45 AM and return to the school at 5:30 PM if you need transportation. A parent-signed permission form must be submitted to ride the bus. Registration and permission slips are due by November 1. The Monroe-Ouachita Chapter of GUNAA will cover the cost of the first 50 students in Ouachita Parish to register.
SPORTS NEWS:
The Varsity football team travels to ASH this Friday night. The spirit theme this week is Western Day.
The Volleyball team plays at Neville tonight.
The Tennis teams travel to Neville this afternoon. Good luck to these teams and if you can, come head over the river and support these teams.
The Cross Country team has a meet tomorrow at ULM. Good Luck!!!
