News from the Guidance Department:.

 

  • Anyone interested in Driver's Ed classes to be held on weekends during the month of  May can come see Coach Osborne in the PE gym.

  • Remember tomorrow is the LEAP test for Geometry, and Thursday will be for Algebra I. Good luck to those of you taking those tests.

  • We will start taking up Chromebooks from all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors the week of May 13th.  Please be sure your device is ready to turn in and prepare for any make up assignments you might have to use a Chromebook to complete.

  • Students, we are now offering Reserved Painted Parking! If you would like to lock in your parking spot for next year and customize it with paint, visit gorebs.org and click on the Painted Parking Link or see Mrs. Cavin in the library for more information and paper forms.

Sports News: 

 

  • Baseball beat Chalmette 10-0 and 16-1 to complete the sweep in the second round of the playoffs. They advance to play Central BR in a three game series. All three games will be at home. Thursday and Friday at six and Saturday at 1:00 if necessary. Let’s Pack the Aulds and cheer on our boys as they look to advance to the state tournament.

  • Cole Masters and Jace Crain will compete in Lafayette today and tomorrow in the State Golf tournament. Good Luck to these guys! 

  • The Track and Field State Meet is this Saturday at LSU. Our athletes competing are Charlotte Switzer in long jump, Jaxson Talley in Javelin, Landon Spears in the 2 mile run, and Tytan Johnson in the 800m run. Wish these athletes good luck as they look to take home gold! 

  • Boys Rebel Soccer Tryouts are today, tomorrow, and Wednesday!

Club and Organization News:

 

  • Board Game Club will have a meeting Wednesday after school. The meeting will be held in Room 1202B instead of the library.

  • The Ouachita Parish Talented Art exhibit is tomorrow from 4-7 pm. The event is come and go and awards will be presented at 6pm.. If you wanna check it out, you can go to the Students Support Services Building, a block past the Tennis courts. West Monroe Talented Art did very very well winning first place in 19 out of 29 categories!!!! 

  • The Orchestra concert is tonight at 5:30 in the auditorium.

  • The Powderpuff Football game is tonight at 6 in the stadium!!
