2023 marks my second year at West Monroe High School and my sixth overall.  I am the Senior Aerospace Instructor (SASI) for the Air Force Junior ROTC program. 

Prior the teaching at WMHS, I was at Hope High School, Hope, Arknasas. 2018-2022 as their SASI.

I served in the U.S. Air Force, Reserves, and the Arkansas Air National Guard for a total of 27 years.  During that time I was enlisted for 10 years as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with Civil Engineering and Aerial Port, then received my commission in 2001 from The Academy of Military Science Officer Training School.  I served 17 years as an officer; nine as a Logistics Readiness Officer over Supply, Fuels, Transportation, and Aerial Port Flights; six as Commander of the 189^th Logistics Readiness Squadron; and two as an Inspector General over Complaints Resolution.

I have been married to Christy Smith Hart for 10 years.  Christy is the librarian at Lakeshore Elementary in the Ouachita Parish School District.  We have four sons: Caleb (30) who lives in Denver, CO, Luke (23) resides in Hannibal, MO, William (20) who is attending Louisiana Christian University, and Wesley (18) who is a Senior at Ouachita Parish High School. 

Aside from spending time with my family, I am adventureous, enjoy watching college athletics, outdoor adventure activities (especially hiking), traveling, and cooking.  When not in uniform, I enjoy thrifting suits and nice clothes, tailoring them myself, and teaching young men clothing and social etiquette.  My bucket list includes visiting all 50 states (at 36 now), and Thru-Hiking the Appalachian Trail.
