Welcome to Mrs. Harris’s English III Honors!

This class will be devoted to developing skills in the language arts—reading and writing, speaking and listening, viewing and responding. Also, at this level we read a great deal; in fact, students are usually reading a novel at home while in class we are reading and discussing other works. In addition, we will have weekly vocabulary and journal assignments. This “layering” requires students to manage both long-term and short –term assignments while tending to shorter writings and homework assignments.

It is my hope that this school year will be both challenging and rewarding, providing each student with a sense of accomplishment and an appreciation of literature and history.
