VIP Juniors ACT Info

VIP Junior STUDENT,

Tuesday, March 9th is ACT State Test Day at West Monroe High School. As a student at West Monroe you are automatically registered for this test date at no cost to you. As a requirement for graduation, every student must take the ACT Test and this is your opportunity to meet that requirement now.

Mark your calendar now. There will be additional information sent out to you via your school Google email as we get closer to the test date. Check your email daily.

While on campus you MUST WEAR A MASK AT ALL TIMES and practice social distancing protocols.

You will report that morning at 7:30-7:45 am to the Auditorium. You will enter the building through the Lobby entrance only. You will check in and have your temperature taken and then be assigned to a seat in the Auditorium. From there you will be dismissed to your Test Location. If you arrive after 7:45 am you may not be able to test. Once sessions have started, a late student cannot enter the testing room. Please be on time!

Please bring with you a form of identification, if you have one (your school id, driver’s permit, or driver’s license), sharpened #2 lead pencils and an ACT Approved Calculator. If you are unsure what calculators are approved, please go to our website www.gorebs.org and look at the ACT policy posted there.

If you miss the testing date of March 9th, the make-up window will be March 30th - April 1st. The make-up ACT exam will all be computer-based. You will not have the option to take a paper/pencil version of the test again. So mark your calendar now and make sure you do not miss the March 9th test date.

This will be a long day of testing. Please rest well the night before, eat a balanced breakfast with plenty of protein that morning and come dressed according to school dress code. If you are out of dress code, you will not be able to test that day and will be rescheduled for a make-up time later in the month.

We will provide you with a mid-morning snack during testing. If you would like to bring an additional snack for yourself during testing you may do so. As soon as the test is over, you will be free to leave campus.

You will be dismissed from your testing locations once all testers are completed. Car pick-up will be in front of the Auditorium only.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email your English teacher for further help
