Seniors, gather your sweet baby pictures, and make sure to get those turned in to room 6204.  Baby ad pictures and forms are due by November 1st.

Seniors - Grambling High School Day in upon us.  If you want to participate, pick up a registration form in guidance and sign the attendance roster.  You will need to register online.  The registration fee is $25 and includes a Game Ticket, Meal Ticket and T-Shirt.  If you register after September 20th, the fee is $30.  You can drive yourself, go with a family member or ride the bus that will depart from Wossman High School at 7:00 on Saturday, October 12th.  Be sure to have your permission slip signed by a parent and with you if you intend to take the bus.  Parents are encouraged to attend as well and are allowed on the bus.

Seniors - Remember to keep a copy of your agenda or other college visit documents if you make a college visit on a school day.  Your absence is considered excused if you can show Mrs. Rogers proof of attendance.

All Students - If you are interested in attending a Historically Black College or University, there in an upcoming opportunity you won't want to miss.  Students in grades 9 through 12 can attend this event on Saturday, September 21st.  The HBCU College Fair will be held at Chateau Rouge On The Bayou, 320 Virginia Street in Monroe.  This is a come and go activity from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.  Prizes and giveaways will be available.

Seniors - Many of you have questions about completing the FAFSA - Your Free Application for Federal Student Aid.  The window to complete your FAFSA does not open until October 1st.  You are welcome to complete the application on your own, but you may want to wait.  The counselors will be meeting with all TOPS University Seniors in October to start the process.  We will work with students in Mr. Aswell and Mr. Adams classes on 10/22 and we will see seniors in Mr. Breen and Mr. Walker on 10/24.  We will meet with seniors on the TOPS Tech pathway in the spring.

Seniors - Keep in mind that October is College Application Month.  You can apply to college now, but you may want to wait if you wish to have more direct help.  A computer lab will be open every Wednesday in October starting at noon.  We will also have set days that representatives from ULM, LA Tech and LA Delta Community College will be in the labs to assist with the application process.  We are hoping to set a date with Grambling soon as well.

Are you ready to see some WMHS teachers and students strut their stuff on the runway? If so, plan on attending the annual WMHS cheer booster Rebel Runway.
