The Rebel soccer team won their match last night against Sterlington by a score of 3 to 2.  Goals were scored by Sergio Aguirre, Edgar Sanchez, and Lanzel Burton.  Jacob Stockley, Lanzel Burton, and Garrett May each had an assist.  With the win, the Rebels improve their record to 3-0 for the season.   The Rebels will take on Sulphur this Saturday in Pineville.  

The JV Boys won their match against Ouachita by a score of 5 to 2 to improve their season record to 3-1-1.  Jack Moody scored 2 goals and Elijah Ritchie, Beau Block, and Mason Albritton each scored 1.  Assists were by Tanner Bentz, Mason Albritton, and Jorge Rojas.  Next up for the JV is OCS Thursday night at 5:30 in Rebel Stadium. 

Congratulations to the Lady Rebel Soccer team on picking up their 2nd win of the season last night at home vs. Sterlington by a score of 3-1.  Junior, McKenzie Foster started off the scoring in the 2nd minute of the game with an assist by Junior, Celeste Hearne. Cleleste also scored a goal of her own with an assist by Junior, Katie Compton. Finishing off the scoring was Senior, Aimee Calloway with the assist by Senior, Lexi Warner.

The varsity girls next match is Thursday here at home in Rebel Stadium vs St. Fred at 7:00pm. Admission is free for students, so come out and support the soccer team!

Congratulations are in order for senior, Dagger Bishop.  Dagger has been selected for admission to Dartmouth College with a QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship.  This year, only 1,127 Finalists were selected as Match Scholarship Recipients.  14,925 other students applied for this unique opportunity. Dagger's scholarship to this prestigious Ivy League School will cover all costs of attendance.  That's more than $321,000 over the course of four years.  Dartmouth College is a private institution that was founded in 1769.  It consistently ranks among the world's greatest academic institutions and educates some of the most promising students in the United States.  Dartmouth prepares them for a lifetime of learning and responsible leadership. It has a total undergraduate enrollment of 4,417, its setting is rural, and the campus size is 237 acres. Dagger Bishop will pursue a dual major in Linguistics and International Relations.  One day, you just might catch a glimpse of him on the news as a foreign ambassador for our country.  Dagger, we are so proud of you.
