Attention Juniors and Seniors! If you are interested in health careers and would like to participate in the summer program M*A*S*H at Louisiana Tech, pick up an information sheet and application outside Mrs.Nelson’s room (3101). You have the opportunity to learn about medical theories, diagnosis, and treatments through lab exercises and lectures in this 12-day course. You must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and at least 19 ACT composite score. You must mail your completed application to the address on the form by March 2.

Attention : Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors. We are now accepting A-HEC applications. If you are not sure what A-HEC is, it stands for Area Health Education Center and it is your chance to see if you have what it takes to be a health care professional. This program is free. It takes place during the summer for three weeks at a local hospital and is worth a semester grade. A-HEC allows students to getup close and personal with doctors, nurses, patients, etc. Many students are able to be in the middle of the all the drama in the delivery room and surgical room. This is your chance to see if you are able to handle a medical career before going to college and wasting a whole lot of money and time on the wrong occupation. If you are interested in this great opportunity, come by room #3101 and pick up an application. You must complete your application before March Second. Once you have your application completed, bring it to Mrs. Nelson in room #3101 and she will hand deliver all COMPLETED applications to the A-HEC office. This way we can make sure nothing gets lost in the mail.

Mrs. Knox is looking for volunteers to help with "The Night to Shine" which a phenomenal night sponsored by the Tim Tebow foundation. This is a Prom for special needs students in our area. Volunteers will be partnered up with a special needs student as their date and will hang out with them for night with dancing, food and photos. You can help make the night of one of these special students by volunteering. You will need to wear semi-formal attire which is either dressed up church clothes or even your homecoming dresses again. Wouldn't you love to have a chance to get all dolled up again in your best? The event will be held at La Tech this year on Friday, February 7th, from 6-9 pm. Come see Mrs. Knox in room 3109 to sign up!

Go Rebs and Go Tigers….LSU Tigers that is.
