National Honor Society Seniors this includes both Current Members and Inductees the graduation stole payment is now open online or you may bring $27 cash to Mrs. Lovelady. New National Honor Society Inductees your induction fee payment is now open online or you may bring $10 to 3205. Make sure you bring your signed acceptance form with you.

Students do not forget to sign up for coach Osbornes drivers ed class. The class will begin February 24th. You can sign up online at gorebs.org or with coach Osborne in the pe gym between 1-4th periods. Stop by and see coach Osborne if you have any other questions

Students in all Grades - ULM has sent us some reminders of events you may be interested in attending.

March 28th is Browse on the Bayou.  Mark you calendars now if you want to get a taste of the ULM experience. Register at the ULM site.  

Campus Tours are available weekly and open slot times can be found at the ULM website. Just search for campus tours.  Remember, you can an excused absence for a college campus tour.

Seniors - ULM wants you to remember a few things.  Complete your FAFSA.  Your counselors want you to remember that too.  If you are having difficulty completing the FAFSA, you need to work with representatives from FAFSA directly.  

Seniors planning to attend ULM also need to turn in the scholarship reservation form if you have received one.  This reserves that money for you, so don't delay.

Students in grades 9 - 12 - Do you have your eyes set on attending Northwestern State?  If so, they are hosting their 12th annual essay contest.  The prompt is "Remembering Louisiana."  Three winners will be awarded cash prizes of $200 per semester at NSU with a scholarship value up to $1,600 if they attend NSU for 4 years.  The three winners will be published in the Louisiana Folklife Journal and they will also be invited to present at the 12th annual Louisiana Studies Conference in the fall.  Pick up more information in guidance, at gorebs.org or on our Facebook page.

If you're interested in the technological and creative aspects of video games, then our Video Game Design class might be for you! Come see us at the Electives Fair on March 12th. 

Anyone interested in trying out for a West Monroe High School spirit group can pick up a packet in the main office. Cheer tryouts will be February 26 and March 4 and 5. Cheer packets are due no later than February the 24th. Raider tryouts will be March 1st through March 3rd and packets will be due no later than February 26th. Rebel line tryouts will be March 9 and 10th and packets will be due no later than February 25th. Please see any spirit group sponsor for more information.

Students, TONIGHT at Ouachita the rebel basketball teams will be in action with the girls beginning at 5:30 and the boys following! This game will be the district championship for your lady rebel basketball team so come out and support your rebels!
