Congratulations to the Lady Rebels on their 12-
2 victory over OCS yesterday. Karli Sellers was
outstanding at the plate going 3 for 3 with all 3
hits being home runs! Mady Manning and
Jenna McKee also homered for the Lady
Rebels. Maddie Nichols was the winning
pitcher with 9 strikeouts. The Lady Rebels play
2 games today at 3 pm against St. Frederick
and at 5 pm against defending 3A state
champion Archbishop Hannan. Saturday's
schedule includes Franklin Parish at 9 am and
Evangel at 1 pm. Good luck Lady Rebels and
continue to "Be The Story"!

Attention students who are thinking about
taking a dual enrollment class next year:
There will be a meeting for you and your
parents on Wednesday, March 25, in the
WMHS auditorium at 5:30. Paperwork to enroll
in DE classes will be distributed as well. The
following is some basic information about dual

enrollment:

1. Students must have taken the ACT and
scored at least a 19 composite. Also,
subscores of a 19 in math and an 18 in English
are required for various DE courses. The June
ACT is the LAST possible date to qualify for fall
dual enrollment courses at WMHS. Those
wanting to take the April 4th ACT must sign up
by this Friday, February 28.
2. Dual enrollment courses are a good way to
earn college credit, and all public Louisiana
universities as well as some private AND some
out of state colleges will accept this credit as
both high school and college credit. Passing
dual enrollment classes guarantees college
credit, and no end of course test is required for
college credit.
3. Dual enrollment classes can be a major
money saver for college .
