BRIAN BUCK Lt Col

Welcome to Air Force Junior ROTC!

Air Force Junior ROTC is a program which teaches and reinforces the concepts of citizenship, character and self-discipline.  There is no obligation to serve in the military.  If cadets do decide to join one of the branches of the military they will receive added benefits when they enlist in the form of advanced rank and higher pay.

Our program at West Monroe High School is a 4-year course of study which cadets are welcome to take as much or as little of as they choose.  In February of 2019 the program was rated as exceeds standards by Headquarters Air Force Junior ROTC, which is the highest rating possible.  This makes the 2nd Exceeds Standards inspection in a row and made it possible for us to earn our 4th Distinguished Unit award in a row!

OFFICE HOURS: 0800-1430 M-F

Essentially though it’s pretty much all of them, I live with email at my side so if you have concerns about your grades or school please send me an e-mail and I’ll answer it ASAP.

Grades are being finalized folks, everyone gets a bonus assignment.  To make it as easy as possible I’ll be using the assignment I put out in google classroom for the week of 16-20 March.  Most people turned it in and did well on it so it will be the bonus work.  If you didn’t do it you still have time to go and complete the assignment.  Most of you have A’s and B’s in the class however there are a few of you who could benefit from a 100 point bonus boost to your grades.  Get into the student progress center and check you grades.  If you need the bonus it’s there for you to do.  If you feel there’s an issue with your grades PLEASE REACH OUT TO ME!!!
